Feelings

Many people ask me, why i am so determined to move out. I jus give them a plain smile and let it pass...

What have my life gone wrong? Many people do not know. My plan to study was not encouraged by my father. He scolded me when I decided to take up Diploma.

I did not want to say as I find it very hurting. Luckily I have my mum and my mum's side's relatives' support. Especially my Er Yi who lent me money to pay off the balance and allow me to return her one year later.

They were the one who morally supported me and encourage me to not to stop at Certificate in Accounting. They let me have the determination and courage to continue.

Also thanks to all my friends and classmates who helped me and encourage me so far. They are all my wings to fly high.

But till now, my father will still mind me studying and he will often say unreasonable remarks that made me feel that I should not study. I had a promise with my Er Yi that I will not give up half way and I will complete it till the end.

Hence I cannot and will not give up. Moving out is not the best solution and some see it as an escape from the problem. But to me, it is a new beginning and a growing up process for me. I have to do it independently and will let all know my determination.

Time will tell my decision is it correct or not. I reserve the rights to comment. :P

Anyway, for those who support my moving out plan, thanks. For those who not, I knew you are concern of me. But rest assured, you will see a better Elaine. I will be strong and independant. I always will.

221108-Batam Department Retreat…. :P

Today is our first Office Service Department Retreat.... We met at 7am at Harbourfront, thought the actual time should be 7:30am. In case people late, so move the time early.

I reached at 7:15am... haha.. :X

When I reached, I signed attendance and awaiting for the boarding pass... So sad I did not take the picture of the boarding pass... :(

Anyway, the ferry is call Penguin Seletar... :P Not small and not big ferry... But was my first time taking it... :P

We reached Batam at SG time 9am. We then board the tour bus and was lead by the two tour leaders.

We reached Planet Holidays Hotel shortly and went to their ballroom at level 2.... That is where we had our games and learning.

To begin the game, all must pick a lot and then signed at the attendance list. Then we proceed for the briefing of the rules and regulation for the game.

All will be holding a piece of paper with the coding. Their task is to decode them and find their leader. I am one of the leader. But sad to say my group formed 2nd team. :(

After that was the ice breaking game where there is 5 questions to get to know more of our colleagues. Like who did highlighting on the hair, who have a pet at home, who have driving licence and who have landscape in their phone as wallpaper.

My team did not won. But never mind, from this we knew more of our colleagues.

Next was tea break followed by Frank's speech on the 3 important charter in OS Dept. :P

Then was the quest time where you raise hand and answer the questions. :P

Next, is team building games series. First we have a skit performing of the three charters. Each group will perform both good and bad side of the charter.

One is Thinking and Planning, which is my team, another is Team work which is another team's. Lastly is Communication, which is another team.

It was fun and everyone participated when the organisers did not look forward to. We have the best actor, Rosli, Best Actress, Helen, Best Comedian, Sam the driver. Very fun..

Next is multi-tasking game where we are given the gullet one longer than the other. Our task is to pass from first person to the last and complete the two gullets in the shortest time. Then we need to pass the marbles using different sizes spoon. Our team came in first and we were all very happy. We took winning team pictures.

After this was the five cents and one cent game where Female is five cents and male is one cent. The game master have to say I want 6cents and we have to find one guy with one lady to form 6cents. Very fun too...

After this will be counting of our points and those who scored the highest will get the vouchers....

Then we proceed to eat lunch at the seafood restaurant or should I say seafood Kui Long? Anyway, the place there was a bit run down to me. The vegetables was very salty. Nevertheless, we managed to finished all and I had my favourite Kangkong.. :P

After this, we went to the dry market for 20mins shopping. There isnt much things to buy there. Then we proceed to the Polo Tee shop but all imitations... Haha...

Finally we reached Nagoya Shopping Centre but was only given at most one and a half hours where we can shop and eat and dot know what. That shopping centre was not so bad condition. I finally saw the long time never see A&W...

Had my curly fries with normal fries and the Root Beer Float.. :P Though the fries nothing amazing but at least I got the taste of it. All these cost us almost 7bucks in Singapore dollar.

After that we went to their supermarket. It resembles AMK Hub's Fairprice.. Oh my god... Their things were cheap lo. But we din buy anything except my 2AA batteries for camera and sweet for Mummy Hui.. :P

That ends our trip at Batam and we reached SG at 8pm plus. Afterwhich, i took MRT back to Serangoon and bus to Home Sweet Home... :P

16-11-08=TGPS CLASS MINI GATHERING DAY!!!!

Yoz... Today is a normal Sunday.. But not so normal afterall...

Cos i just attended my Primary school Class mini gathering. Basically because it is Sunday, hence not many people can make it....

Guess what, I met new friends although not really new. They are from another class but all seen me before... They are Eric(the UK guy who came to study for 3 years in Primary School afterwhich went to Hong Kong and subsequently to UK), Collin aka XingYao(a very nice and handsome and.... hehe.... humor..) and Jing Hong(another handsome guy from another class)....

Well, if I did not turn up today, I wouldn't know them. Ironically, Jing Hong and Collin lives just two roads away from me. But we never met each other ever since we left Primary School. My god!!!

Anyway, it was through this type of mini gathering that we met friends we might knew in the past but had missed them now. :P

Had to apologised for the aloof me jus now. Jus worried for exams as I jus started last minute. Hehe...

Well, the venue was at East Coast Park Pit 29. Today's weather was a bit cool. We had BBQ as usual and chit chats. Mostly guys.. Only Penny and me are ladies... haha...

We have Yipo, Victor and Liu Gui as our BBQ masters and Eric, Collin, Penny and me were the supporters. While Penny did lend a helping hand and she was a great helper. :P

Lawrence came a bit late but we did not chat. :( Anyway, I also lost of words. Suddenly find myself getting very aloof. What happened???

Anyway, I did enjoyed this mini gathering. Witnessing the bickering between Penny and Lawrence... The jokes and craps we created. Very fun. We wasted some chicken wings but thats not the main point.. Haha...

Anyway, hope we can get together soon. Maybe after this year. Maybe CNY time...

Hopefully our friendship will sail as long as we live.... Really fortunate to have them as my friend. Though we dont communicate often. But through this gathering, we will get to know more things and get to know each other's updates.
