27 October 2007(Saturday)
A long awaiting day.... SINGAPORE HITS AWARDS.... Had bought the ticket few months ago.... Finally it was starting.... I took a cab at 6plus after having my early dinner. Left home almost 6plus, went for a quick bite and left to hail a taxi.

When reached there, there was already a lot of people waiting to enter Singapore Indoor Stadium. The queue was moving in an orderly manner and all were excited on what will be going on later...

I love this moment as I can get to see all the stars in my own eyes. Almost can hold their hands.... I saw Fei Lun Hai, the most handsome boyband in Taiwan, Sun Yan Zi who came in later part. I also saw Angela, etc.... They all sang very well. Though some had just reached Singapore not long ago, but they never show their tiredness nor temper. All in great mood even though some came without bringing any prizes home. But it was a pity that SHE could not come to Singapore. Nevertheless, they still won many great prizes.... They are the best group, most popular group etc.... Sun Yan Zi and Angela and Fei Lun Hai also won a lot of prizes.... Cool....

Today was like attending a concert where all the singers sang for you with all their hearts.... The DJs were all dressed up in their best costume and they were all very humor... I get to see Lee Wei Song and Lee Si Song upclosed. They are so charming.... Wow.... Fei Lun Hai so handsome, charming.... Too many words to use to describe them....

Anyway, if you asked me who is my favourite band or group, I can say I admire all that is handsome, great singer and most popular... If wanna choose the best DJs for 933fm, I do not have only one. But Number 1 will be Chong Qing.... After that there wont be any numbers as the rest I also support...

I truly love SHE's singing and their acting.... Also Fei Lun Hai's Wu Zun and Wang Dong Cheng... Super cute and handsome... wow..... hehe...

Ok la... end here le.. if not will be on and on and on.... In conclusion, I enjoyed a lot today and was very happy that those who I support won many prizes.... :P

24 October 2007(Wednesday) ESS-Problem Solving Day 2(LAST DAY)
As mentioned in yesterday's blog, today we are going to learn ways to solve problems tactically. First, he go thru the slides on things to take note and how to plan things well so that we will be able to foresee any problems arises.

Then he showed us videos on how to deal with stress and ways to pass our message down to boss when encountered demanding work targets which is impossible to carry out. The scenerio was the boss agreed with the management on the deadline which he knew the team could never fulfilled. In this way, he had exerted unwanted stress to his surbordinates. There are three ways to deal with it and it will shows three different outcomes.

First way is to remain silent and tried to complete till deadline reached. But the results for this is you will lose your job as you cant fulfilled what the management wants.

Second way is to talk back as you knew that no matter how hard your team tried, it can never be possible to fulfill the deadline. In this way, you and your boss will have arguement and it make things worst. In the end, you will lose job.

Third way and the best way to deal with this matter is to talk things nicely to your boss. State your position and reply him in a nice manner but never to raise your voice. In this way, though the manager knows he had agreed with an impossible deadline, but he knows you will try your best in fulfilling. Even if you are really unable to meet the targetted timeline, you will not lose your job as you had done your very best.

Well, in answering to problems, never use email as your connections for problem solving. Face to face talk is the best way to deal with problems. Throughout this course, I had learnt a lot and understand why there are people who did things that hurts others. The main course was their past. They cant get out of their past and they thought by doing the same to others, he/she will feel better. But what they do not know is, in this way, they can never achieve happiness. As they will kept repeating their nightmares and will never be able to get away from the nightmare. The only way to solve it, is to help them overcome the nightmare, understand them and show them you really cared for them.

This is a lifelong learning. Just like dealing with colleagues is also a lifelong learning. I am still learning. Day by day, I had learnt how to give and take. I had learnt how to take things on stride. I had learnt when to let go. But at times, when thinking of the past, though I will still feel sad, silly and hurt. But life is long, we have to look things on the bright side. I believe one day, I can help many people around me in one way or another. Lets work together for a better tomorrow. Cheers....

23 October 2007(Tuesday) ESS-Problem Solving Day 1
Today is the first day of my two-days course for ESS module which I applied thru the HR of my company. Today's lesson is on Problem Solving. It is a lesson to teach you how to solve problems systematically. Throughout the first day, we learnt how to define a problems and Day 2 will learn how to solve the problems.

What the speaker said was true. It is really difficult to deal with problems when there is emotions in the problems. Being the speaker for so many years, he had seen and heard a lot of bad experience either he personally encountered or from his students.

I would say, he is a great speaker and knows when to add some jokes so that the lesson wont be that boring. Many people will find that going for courses like this is very boring. But to me, it is a lesson learnt. I am sure that it will helped me alot with my work now. But sometimes, it is not easy to handle problems when it comes to emotions.

Well, I would say, it depends on the way you see things. It is really very difficult when both had different mindset. But you must find a way to get your opinion across without hurting others. It is an art and it is something we should learn and adapt. Tomorrow, he will teach us and show us how to deal with emotions and solve problems tactically. We will have some roleplay or discussions and think of the ways to handle difficult customers or requests.

21 October 2007(Sunday)
Today went down to Bedok(unplanned trip) after visiting my grandmother. I had an idea when bus reaching Interchange. I decided to eat my lunch in the KFC at Bedok at the same time try my luck whether I will get to see my ex-manager, Heng Loo.

Still remember the days working with him. He is very friendly and treat us like friends. Though sometimes he is strict, but it is all cos of rules and regulations.Well, it had been months since we last met at TPNE. He was redeployed before I left TPNE. Though we very long never met. But he still remembers me. Haha... Think next round will be next next Saturday(probably).

Very long never met up with many people. Especially my two best buddies, YH and WP. We will be meeting this comin Sunday. Will have lots of fun...

This Saturday is Singapore Hits Awards. I had bought ticket for this Hits Awards. Will have lots of fun. Will get to see all the DJs from 933fm(esp Cruz Teng, CQ, Peifen, Weibin, etc). Will also get to see many superstars.... Looking forward for that day. Count down five days.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be on course for WSQ ESS-Problem Solving. Going with mostly my dept people. Hope will have fun...

Actually, my hand did not recovered as I thought. These days, it gave me lots of problems. Really dot know what should I do. Hope it will heal by itself. :(

God please bless that my left wrist will heal soon. :(

Today I lost my medicines and receipts. What a rottten luck. Haiz... Luckily, I am able to get a replacement. But it cost me $15 for the replacement. Anyway, who tell I so careless...

Well, hope that my hand will recover soon. Pray for me.... :(

11 October 2007(Thursday)
I was told to come back for followup today. Thinking that finally I can have my hand back. But sad to say, he twisted and turned my wrist, when he asked was it pain, I nodded. I almost cried. Ended up being wrapped again. Haiz...

Mood went down and down and down. It was super painful. Then i was told to come back this Sunday... What? Still need to come back. Haiz.. No choice, who tell I injured myself. Hope it will recover soon.

9 October 2007(Tuesday)
Today took half day to visit the sinseh. It had been years since I last visited the sinseh. Haiz... I walked round the neighbouthood, but just couldnt find a sinseh which was opened. When I was about to leave and headed to work, I heard the sound of the shutter being lifted. The sinseh finally opened.

The sinseh twist and turned my wrist. So painful till my tears almost came out. Then ended up having my left wrist wrapped. Do not ask me how I hurt my wrist, as i really do not know what had happened.

Suddenly felt that my hands and legs are really important for me. If I were to lose any of them, I will felt wthdrawn.

8 October 2007(Monday)
Today I knew i cant ignore the pain, but just do not wish to miss work today. So went ahead for work as usual then went for class after work.

This was when I discovered that my hand got worst. Some more, it was raining heavily and I did not carry umbrella with me. So I went to buy one and had a quick dinner before heading to school.

I was almost late. But I reached on time. It was then my hand was super pain and I had to endure till end of the day. As due to not wanting many people to know of my hand's condition, I decided to sit at the far end alone. But still cant hide from Aileen. Haiz...

No choice, had to take half day urgent leave to visit a sinseh tomolo. Haiz....

6 October 2007(Saturday)
Everything was normal today, except that I felt my left wrist had some problems. I ignored it and went ahead to meet my project team-mates to discuss for my QS project. We hope to start and finished it before the deadline.

Hence when i carry my bag, I thought it was just pain and ignore it. Moreover, by the time we finished the discussions and done with the tables. It was almost 6pm. We decided to end here and further discuss on Monday.

In the end, I again ignore the pain and went home straight.

5 October 2007(Friday)
Today while typing, I discovered my left wrist was in pain... I do not know why, thinking, it will be fine. So did not visit any doctor as I suppose I do not need to. Well, who will know I will need a long time to recover. If only i knew, I would have visit the sinseh today after work.

As the pain come and go, hence I thought nothing serious and forgotten about it as i was busy doing work.
