1 & 8 December 2007

1 December 2007
Today was the exam day for my English Skills.... I am super nervous.... Wondering what will be tested later. There will be MCQs in Section A and B. Summary in Section C and Essay writing in Section D....

The most challenging to me is to write Summary and Essay.... As my English is not very good. Moreover, I had to write 300 words in the Essay writing and not more than 100 words for the Summary. I find it super difficult.

When the clock strike 9am, all students were standing outside the exam class. All looked as nervous as me. No one had 100% confidence as we were all very worried on what might be tested and whether we had done enough practice for today's paper.

When the invigilator told us to enter the class, her only instruction was to take out your stationary as no pencil cases was allowed to be on the table. As per student guide, we need to bring NRIC along for verification purpose. Once we were done, the male invigilator than flashed the exam rules and explained it one by one.

The exams started at 9:30am sharp. When I flipped open the question booklet, the MCQs were not as difficult as it is as we had gone through them before. So I can confidently said that I am happy with my MCQs. As summary we can't choose questions, we had to try to do it. I am not very happy with my summary but there is no way I can make it perfect.

When comes to Essay questions, I was totally stunned... All the questions was super tough. The first question for us to choose is compare working in small company to big organisations. Which you prefer? The second was What is the advantages and disadvantages of starting a family at young age. The third and the last question to choose is Discipline.

Had done survey among close friends in our class, most chose question 1 and 2. Some said question 2 done before. Well, lets just hope all will pass and gets A for English Skills. If not B is also not bad....

Sad to say, one of our classmates choosen to give up and retake the whole module as he did not turn up for today's exam. I only found out at night. There was no way to reverse time. But really think he shouldn't decide on his own. What's over cant be undone. So pray hard he will progress with us smoothly...

Today was exam for my Quantitative Skills, which is Mathematics. Though was well prepared but can't help feeling very nervous. My lecturer had shown 100% confidence that I will get A which to me was a great pressure. The day before today, I spent hours practising till I almost going crazy. Thanks to my sister, Nurlinda, she had helped me calm down and read all my frustrations. She encouraged me to stay calm and she believes that I can do it.

When it was almost 9am, all were already outside the exam room. All were super nervous too. We hoped that what we had done for the revision will came out all. So that our extra effort from the lecturer will not be wasted.

Once the invigilator asked us to enter, all took out the stationary from the pencil case and a calculator with a spare calculator in case the other have no batt during the exam time.

All rules being read and explained once again. When the invigilator told us to start, all flipped the questions and do it very carefully. When I saw the questions, all were super familiar... haha... But after I handed over the exam papers and went downstairs, I found that I did a very stupid mistakes which will caused half of the marks in that question to be lost. I should have done using all the methods but was too confidence in myself that I missed out the other two methods of calculation. Oh my god.... Just hope I don't scored very badly. Hoping for A initially, but think if get a B, I will also be jubilant.

As today was the last day of exam, I decided to take train to airport for walk walk. You must be thinking, huh? Airport? What for?

To be frank, ever since Terminal 3 opens to public to tour around, I had wanted to visit it. You can see how many photos I took in my gallery. I was very amazed in the ambience and the designs. They must have spent a lot on all the things. Even the food court which was not ready yet, had cusion chairs. So relaxing. There are a lot of shops for us to shop before we departed from Singapore.

As I will be going to Bangkok next month. I will be doing some research personally to see where to check-in for my plane and where is it located. I will be taking Air Asia, the cheapest among all the budget airlines. The check-in counter is located at Terminal 1 counter 11. It is facing the depature hall. So it was not difficult to locate. As diagonally opposite is the mini foodcourt with sushis, bean products and some pastry for you to bring along to the plane for snack time...
I am super excited and how I wish today is the day I will depart from Singapore to Bangkok... Had took so much effort to talk my mum round and get her permission to let me go.... Had booked the air tickets and only the hotel I am having some problems in booking...

Hope everything will be fine soon. I took skytrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 and then to Terminal 2 for sight seeing... Compared, I find that Terminal 3 looks more trendy that the rest. Have yet visit Budget Terminal. I love the designs in Terminal 3 especially the fountain when you walk in after taking the MRT.

I took numerous of photos and was really looking forward for 17 January 2008 to arrive.... We will definately have lots of fun and laughter... A lot of happy moments will be taken into the cameras of ours. This is our first trip alone without parents tagging along. We are trying the most daring way. This round, no agency, no tour guide, we will be our own tour guide and tour around Bangkok ourselves...

Next round we plan to go Shanghai and will need to save save save for all the expenses incurred, the airfares, the accomodations and the shopping, the food and etc.....

Thailand, Bangkok, I am coming.....

Alright, I'll stop here if not there wont be ending liao.... :P
