A new chapter of my life in 2010. I found a job for myself. So happy and I could not even believe my ears when I heard my agent told me I am employed.

It will be a yearly contract work. If performance not bad, I will be renewing every year. Plus, the salary was same rate as my previous Admin position job, have year end bonus upon completion of the contract, 14 days of leave, 14 days of medical leave and insurance. It is same as full time job benefits.

Today my first day of work. Initially was worried that I do not know where is the work place located. Surprised to see Chew Lian, my supervisor was at the security area waiting for me. She was there with another colleague of mine who also first day today.

My new workplace is at ST Electronics Pte Ltd. I am station at AMK Store at level 1. The office very small as we are a 8 man show unit. My fellow colleagues are, Weiwei, Xiaoping, May (who will be leaving in 5 Feb), Jasmine, Vincent (my shifu), Yanxuan, Desmond and Vanessa (the new colleague who is first day today as me).

I will be reporting directly to Chew Lian if I need to take leave or on MC. She is very friendly and humor. She will joke with us and even play with us if time permits.

Today I was assigned to under study with Vincent on the job scope and what is my role in this job. As for Vanessa, she will be under study with Xiaoping and Weiwei. I do not know what she will be learning.

My job was actually very standard. Receive fax, check if all fields are filled in. If missing details, I have to call and ask them to amend and refax to us. Once job number assigned, I have to call one by one to inform of the job number so that they can prepare job tag. Job tag was to facilitate the milkrun people to locate the equipment fast and accurate.

Once job number assigned, I have to give to another person to approved before I can arrange for milkrun. Wonder what is milkrun? It is a process where the delivery man went down to the camp unit to collect faulty equipment and transport back to STE to pass to the technicians at Level 3 to repair. Once done, they will send back to the unit when the schedule is up.

So now, I am learning how to spot the mistake and inform the Sir/Madam to amend and refax to us. I also have to learn how to key these data into the system. File the documents. It is a very straight forward job and I have to be careful when assigned job number.

Today is all notes and teaching. I am almost sleeping. That's how my first day end. Endless teaching and teaching.

We have 2 tea breaks, at 10am and 3pm. Lunch time is 12pm-1pm. No internet to certain website like, Facebook, Baidu and other website which is for entertainment or have flash player. What we can go is yahoo website to check emails only. We can also go online cinema to view movie tickets and time slot for movies. Only can serve during tea breaks or lunch time.

Today I did a lot of mistakes. Luckily it can be reverse back. If not I really do not know how. Last evening before I left, I did not arranged the file in order. I also have missing documents. In the end it was repeated fax.

I created a great mess. Luckily my shifu was there to help me. He always say be careful next time. He is also very humor.

Today I ordered 4 dishes and the aunty looks so stunned. Maybe becaused no one will ordered more than 3 dishes for the mixed vegetables rice. Hence she stoned for a while and then gave me the fourth dish.

Dragging my tired body, I went for my usual vocal singing class which will be starting at 7.30pm. By the time I reached Outram Park Mrt Station, it was already 7pm. No time for me to even grabbed a bite. Haiz....

Today is Zhiwen lao shi teaching us. It was fun and he always tell us to sing with feelings. He ask me can start lesson already? I said wait for them to reach than start the lesson. He say why? I say all for one, one for all. :D

I learnt how to sing the two songs well and with feelings. :D

This ends tired but happy Thursday. :D

Its finally FRIDAY!!!

Today is casual wear day. We are allowed to wear jeans and t-shirt to work. I was actually slacking around as today not much fax for me to create job number.

The Monday milkrun was not a lot. Hence I rewrite my notes and rearrange all the recycled paper. Shredding those which not needed. First time use the paper eater machine. It was very old machine and very noisy.

I so scare later my fingers cut by the machine. First time use it, I almost jammed it. Luckily there is somebody there to assist me. So I know how to solve when paper was jammed.

I tried chicken chop and was eating at office. It was not bad but the salad was not very well done. Anyway, it is a new dish for me. According to Vincent, everyday will have this special queue. But have to wait almost half and hour for it to be done as there is only one person cooking and serving. So have to wait.

I planned to try the muslim store next week. Also to Techpoint to eat their chicken rice. :D

Weekend, here I come. :D
